i don't know what that announcer is saying but he sounds like he's having a good time
His punishment back in North America was only pathetic because of the laws where he did what he did and he shouldn't be in the NHL. Not only what he did do was pathetic, he went out of his way to ridicule and ruin someone. Before this thread inevitably derails:
Beautiful first goal.
- He didn't do what alot people assume he did
- what he DID do, is universally thought of as a pretty sh***y thing to do
- He WAS punished (OHL suspension, Arrest/Fine in Sweden)
- 3 different leagues have investigated and thought enough to move on from it
- He's shown legitimate remorse, had sensitivity classes and has volunteered in various organizations in an attempt to learn and grow from the situation.
Would make for a pretty bad-ass first goal, ngtl lolDid he surreptitiously take a picture of himself putting the puck in the net and then text it to all his teammates?
What he did was objectively wrong and illegal. He's taken significant steps to right his wrongdoing since then. Saying he shouldn't be in the NHL is absurd. His punishment back in North America was only pathetic because of the laws where he did what he did and he shouldn't be in the NHL. Blokes still finding ways to minimize what he did is on brand here though. No need to reply. Any fan celebrating him in this thread I'll be putting on ignore.
