It’s a title that is still technically true and it’s a title that will generate most clicks.Bad title. He can’t continue to play thus end his career on ltir. Seen plenty of these around.
Will probably be Toffoli, he seems the best option at this point.Celebrini new captain?
Probably an LtIR situation like priceSo he's leaving 16M on the table ?
Do they still name teenage captains these days?Celebrini new captain?
Toffoli, Goodrow, and Ferraro all wore A's this year. They're all still under contract, so I'd imagine they keep those three, add Celebrini as a fourth A, and split them in half for Home/Away games.Celebrini new captain?
That is why I criticized the title. "Retirement" means walking away from the money, ala Luongo. Couture's playing days are done as he can't physically return to play. But, he will spend the remaining duration of his contract on ltir and collect the remainder of his contract. Plenty others have done the same thing, Seabrook, Price, Weber, Little, etc.Probably an LtIR situation like price
Could be, but I could equally see them just give it to Toff, or Ferraro if they re-sign him, for let's call it 2 more years until Celebrini is signed on his first big deal and has clearly established himself / can really step into the role. Seems like a lot to ask of a 19yo when we have some solid vets around.Toffoli, Goodrow, and Ferraro all wore A's this year.
