Yeah. I get that playing against Montreal for 5 games straight and having to adjust to the Canes is a dramatic shift in thinking and play style.

I just wish one of these days, the Caps won't come out so shell-shocked against Brind'Amours' team.

It's the first game. Another thing is these teams hate each other and the drama from April is a powder keg for the players and fans. The PK has been great.

He's just on a different wavelength than his linemates, entirely. He makes a good play and beats a defender, then throws the puck four feet away from where his wingers actually are.

Yeah, I’d love to see him be a bit greedier at times.

Carly looks tired, which may just be that he's old, but its more likely a byproduct of losing Fever. Playing more, not having his trusty partner, its maybe a bigger loss for JC than any other Cap.

Who knows maybe he'll get a point shot for the GWG or primary assist. He's had so many regular season goals stole so he's due.

By all underlying metrics he has played quite well. It’s hard to go from college, and then jumping into NHL end of season pace.
