can you explain the waiver rule some more? never had waiver order in my leagues so don't really know how it works

When you drop a player, instead of going directly to FA's he is placed on waivers for a certain period of time (usually 2-3 days). Teams can make claims on him and the team that is the highest on the waiver order (a suggestion for the initial waiver order is reverse order of the roster draft but it doesnt have to be that way) that places a claim on him gets the player. When a team makes a waiver claim, they move to the bottom of the waiver order. If no team makes a claim on a dropped player after that period of time, then he is placed in Free Agents where he is open season for anyone to pick him up at any time and the waiver order does not change.
