Yeah if we made the playoffs it'd be nice, but I'd rather have the long term stability of a guy like Barkov, MacKinnon, or Monahan. I think it's what the team misses, unless we can get our hands on a mid-aged well established centre for a decent price.

That is pretty much how I feel.

I would love to be in the playoffs but we won't get there without a #1C and some solid goaltending.

Too bad MInny spent all that money on Parise and Suter, or a Koivu + Backstrom deal would solve both problems for this year.

BUt without a decent team to head into the post season then lets not **** around and get us a top quality centerman.

Can you picture a scenario where we make the playoffs and get a top 3 pick?

We both know, you're going to lose.

Yeah that'd be nice. It'd be really nice to get one of those centres out of Colorado too but that'd probably cost too much.

The prices are just ridiculous now. I don't want to pay 150+ for a seat, but I also don't want to be toofar away. I've never been to a Leafs game before and I kinda want to be part of that atmosphere. Though on tv it looks really boring

It's an experience.

My first game was a 7-8 loss to the original Jets at he Male LEaf Gardens.

That was awesome.

Could barely see the puck we were up so high.

Too many suits at the games now. I bet the whole night cost $30. Couldn't have been more than $5 for the ticket. The $10 ticket was in the greens. Which is the reds now.

Two years ago went to a TOR CGY game. $95 a ticket. $10 beer. It was good but just cost too much.

BUt save up and go atleast once.

Depends on the C.

We draft Mackinnon, sign Perry, Then trade Lobardi+2nd for Staal. Then trade Komi+Connolly+ a second for Schneider and we got all our teams problems solved! Course that would never happen because its like trades you do in chel 13 or something. lol

Duchene would be the one. O'reilly seems to want a lot of money. I liked him but not at 5M. Stastny is the cap hit they would probably want to move. BUt what the heck is with the back to back 50pt seasons? At 6.6M? You need to do better.

If we sign Perry this offseason would you consider dealing Kessel for a #1 C?
Is Perry really going to hit UFA?

I'd consider trading Phil for a #1C now.

It all depends on the center you're getting in return (of course).

Centers are far more important than wingers.
I think Kessel is a very special player. I would not trade him.

Not a bottom 5 team.

Edit: Watch Burke get a GM job somewhere and Perry just flocks to him.

A bottom 5 team that finally has a #1 C. :naughty:

YA if PErry says "I signed here because of Brian Burke" Anselmi will need to hire body guards.
