Sidenote - having dinner with my friend last night, just talking about work and stuff and mentioning about where I want to go with my future .. If I were to go into the private sector probably in asset management or something, she said her fiancée's company is looking for exactly that and she sent me the job posting .. I just read it, and wow am I ever qualified for this job

Yeah I work for the Municipality technically .. Great job, don't get me wrong, so much good about it .. But I have bigger ambitions long term, so this might be my opportunity ... No idea how much this job would pay though, I make good money now so I don't know if they can top it right now

The job security with govt is unparalled. I wouldnt go unless the job pays well/cearly has potential for you to climb the ladder in a reasonable amount of time.
