Starts where Dubnyk says the first goal was a bad goal.
You'd probably be div 13 men's league if you're a Skinner defender tonight.Tell me you know nothing about hockey without saying you know nothing about hockey. C division player Id guess
Ultimately it doesn’t matter. Draisaitl had no way of knowing that. All he knows is his goalie is far from the net and a puck is heading towards the net at an angle that you need slow mo to tell the real trajectory.Yeh, trust me, ive seen the replay over 20 times now and the puck was not goong to go in. Or even close to the far post. The lag maps out the line you wanted me to draw in this picView attachment 1033650
Yep, that he doesn’t think his play is a problem means he doesn’t think he needs to worry about working on the areas he’s weak in. Thats as big a reason as any to cut him loose when the season is over. Baffling how the organization couldn’t have come to this conclusion before the trade deadline like most fans did but here we are.The worst thing about Skinner isnt even his goaltending, its that he thinks hes good and not an issue.
And playing at a higher level also kind of means f*** all. Louie Debrusk says stupid shit all the time and he played at a higher level than any of us.And you really think playing AAA in Manitoba gives you the right to tell people on this board they don't know anything about hockey, when there are undoubtedly people who played at a higher level on this board, including myself, because you don't agree with their take?
Anyways, I've said my pieced. Skinner cost the Oilers this game but 4th goal is on the guy who scored on his own net with .4 seconds left. I leave it that.
But but they did upgrade there goaltendingJust disappointed in how this team never seems to learn from previous experience. Same mistakes/ flaws over and over. Not upgrading the goaltending is a fireable offense imo

Yeah. He also made sure to sell the glove hand stop on Roy, too, which was right in his glove. But he sold it swinging the glove hand up like "what a fantastic stop" people eat it up. The stops he's making is the shots are going right at him. the only stops he made were against Hertyl who has been terrible finishing. Barbashev so bad he's not even trying to score now. May as well pass off. haha"I'm glad I made big saves for the team in the 3rd period"
It's almost like skinner is trolling us at this point.
He made one good save that I saw at least I thought it was a good save until I watched again and the Vegas guy had put it right in his glove. What is this cities media’s love affair with Skinner?Rob Brown:
“Skinner made the big saves they needed.”
I can’t make this up.
No drink tonight. Oh well, hard to drink after this one and probably a bad idea. Have a good sleep. I was going to watch a Horror movie but I already saw one tonight.LOL no I do not, but you asked like it meant something did you not. Twice. I also said that the level I played - and coached - means jack shit. Goalie stays in his net and tracks then there is no open cage to try to defend. End of story, and believe what you will about the 4th goal. The direct result was 29 deflected it into an open net. The same open net that Skinner was supposed to be in.
I leave it at that and I am off to hit the sack.
A lot of people on this board played at a high level. Just because you don't agree with my analysis doesn't mean I don't know hockey. You're better than that, honestly. Obviously this loss stings. This is a bad response. Sorry, you're off today.
Guys like Debrusk and Skinner play or have played in the NHL. It doesn't mean they know a lot or are experts.
Skinner even rationalized what the did there. Nobody else would.
Take the L. What Skinner is doing there nobody knows. But he figured he should be there doing that swimming out of crease. he must be right....because he's played a high level of hockey lol
Game is tied, few seconds left in the game and this is how you defend your net. You'd probably be div 13 men's league if you're a Skinner defender tonight.
Excellent analysis by Dubnyk on the first 2 goals. Bad bad goaltending.
AT least he didn't bop his head like a bobblehead tonight. He did do the eyes rolling around in his head thing several times tonight. Seems like the cameramen are fixated on it. Either he's doing it all the time or they catch it at the right times. How would you rate that one crott
What a pathetic pos imo
This cocksuker looks like he's drunk there
It wasn't good defending I agree. But Skinner wasn't good on any of the 4 goals tonight. He was atrocious on the first 2. Bad on the 3rd. And I don't even know what to say on the 4th.Game is tied, few seconds left in the game and this is how you defend your net.
And Dubnyk normally defends Skinner a ton.Excellent analysis by Dubnyk on the first 2 goals. Bad bad goaltending.
This clown looks like he got picked off of the street and thrown into an NHL game. It's scary. Just look at his movementsAT least he didn't bop his head like a bobblehead tonight. You clearly don't know our front office. Those clowns were probably happy and wanted to show how smart they are with skinner back in the net. Just like playing josh brown in LA G1 (which was reported that management wanted to justify the signing by playing him). But but they did upgrade there goaltending
They knew all along Skinner would be replaced be Pickard
They just never expected him to get hurtlol

This is what he says in postgame the very game after the last time he played where he's laughing in LA, having a good grin, after having given up 5 goals in the game and being awful. The fact he thinks he gave the team a chance to win should mean hes sent home immediately.
I dont care if he somehow goes on to win a Vezina somewhere else, he cant start another game for the Oilers.
Yeah I totally agree. Dubnyk was spot on though in his analysis. First goal was entirely on Skinner after Nurse made a great play on the 2 on 1. Second goal Skinner goes down with no shot fake, and opens his five hole a mile wide as a result. Anytime you see a goalie making the first move or guessing instead of reading and reacting on a shot you know one of two things. 1) They f***ing suck, or 2) They have zero confidence at all in their game. In Skinner's case it's both.It takes a lot of balls to call out a fellow major league goaltender like that publicly, so you have to expect he's showing some restraint with his opinion here.
I can only imagine as a former player of the team and likely fan for life that he felt his heart being ripped out by Skinner one time too many as well. Imagine how Leon feels? You could feel his anger and heartbreak when he said that the first two goals "deflated us" in his postgame interview.
This was Skinner's chance to save his reputation and stay on this team. No chance that Leon wants to share a dressing room with this guy for another season.
