Post-Game Talk: Literally shooting yourself in the foot

Up 2-1 after only actually playing hard in 1 game. Count ourselves lucky. Time to play our second game of the series with a proper effort.

Oh and Pickard needs to come back or it might not matter how we play.
Yup, they need to start playing harder. No coincidence they tied the game when they actually put pressure on Vegas.

Still, maybe it serves as a lesson. They got away with a subpar game last game. Not this one.

Just turned it on to catch Skinner talking, sounds defeated.

Didn’t think they would score with 0.4 seconds, either did your teammates buddy.

C'mon. That play is instinctive and D would do it too. Puck is going across an empty net and there is no way in real time to know that puck isn't going in. Its a reaction play, and every player will try to bat that away. Didn't work out.

I'm sure theres going to be enough Drai hate tonight. Forget about his MVP level season,

Skinner was the goalie that allows that complete nothing play with hardly any time left to go right through him. All Skinner has to do there is stay in cage. But he's an idiot so we lost the game.

4more GA by Skinner in 20sog.

What a save % and GAA.

Skinner 0-3 in playoffs.

The other guy is 6-0

Oilers deserved to lose tonight, as a team. They were outworked all over the ice for 3 periods. We're even getting hockey gods miracle stuff with own goal to tie in a game were bringing nothing.
No one is forgetting about his MVP status and the fact that they wouldn't have made the playoffs without him but come on....he was bad tonight.

He'll be better on Monday night but he wasn't good enough tonight.

It doesn't have to be Drai hate to admit that he had a really bad game tonight. Probably the worst I can remember. MVP calibre players have occasional awful games.
Drai didn't have a good game. Yes. My sense from reading your post is your were blaming him specifically for the goal that went in off his stick.

Kane wasn't strong either tonight. That impacted things too. After coming out on adrenaline he's starting to slow down. It happens.

Drai is obviously playing hurt again. But lets remember he was injured late in season and this org had to get him out there in a crucial game against Calgary that potentially had playoff implications. Its been a shitty season. Sure team has turned it around in playoffs but lets not forget maybe that Drai was our best player all season. He's not superhuman, nobody is.

Maybe they can stuff fatso stauffer in a triple XL set up and jam him in net, put all those royal pizzas to use. Surely one of those rolls will make a stop where it wasn't to be found tonight.

Um all you guys blaming drai.... For the love of God grow some brains. Shot made at an empty net. Your reptilian instinct is to try and stop the puck from entering the net.

Maybe blame, oh I don't know, the goalie who is not in the actual net?

He had a terrible game. It's just the icing on the cake. He'll rebound

Stu likely won't. Hopefully Pickard is ready for game 4

Hes playing hurt every playoffs.

I dont get it.

Is to the point of mental torture for the players and even Skinner playing on this team. Could be a serious infection point now.
Honestly I feel for him. He a good goalie, even a great one by hockey standard.

He just not NHL caliber, that on the organization for not recognizing it.

He was terrible tonight - turning pucks over, bad changes. Stu played it terribly, he is not a good goalie. Doesn’t mean draisaitl wasn’t bad tonight
