Anyone know if he has a history of back issues? All I can find is an article that says he "played through a painful and debilitating injury" in the series that BOS lost to FLA. Those sound like words that are used to describe back pain to me.
Fwiw the team said lower body for that one. They aren’t very transparent though so it could be smoke and mirrors.Wouldn't surprise me if his health issues which kept him out to start the season were back related. Not like Green is transparent about this stuff and it feels like the team downplays injuries a lot in general.
Welp.
The reality is that while Linus has been good, I am not in the group of fans that think he is stealing games. He has made stops that are stoppable. I think the overall team defence has allowed low chances, not many Grade A's and odd man rushes. Very Boston-like. So it will flatter any goalie.
Doesn't mean it isnt a huge loss , and a concerning trend for this season, but Leevi can make that low grad A chance look routine, as he did against Vancouver. Time to circle the wagons
You take Hellebucyk, or another goalie out of a lineup for an extended period, it is normal that a won loss record will suffer...just seems we are unlucky as usual with either top 6 guys getting hurt, top pair D getting hurt, or our franchise goalie. YippeeWell if we take a nosedive in the standings due to the injuries. Posters are going to have a field day on the main boards with the Is Ottawa Actually Good topic. Buckle up.
All joking aside, time to see what our Belleville goalie tandem is made of.

All I recall on his injury in exhibition and early season one, was the team saying out with a “strain”.Fwiw the team said lower body for that one. They aren’t very transparent though so it could be smoke and mirrors.

Ottawa Senators send Linus Ullmark for further testing on strain he suffered
There are no guarantees that Ullmark will be ready to play Thursday when the Senators play against the New Jersey Devils.ottawacitizen.com
Nope! Trap deployed!! We're winning them both.So are the Winnipeg and Minnesota games a write off?
So the question is, was “strain” back then also back, guess we don’t know.Yeah you’re right, I’m not sure why I remembered lower body. Seems they never specified.
