Has been such a long period since I actually look forward to watching games.

Said before the season started, this is thew first time since 2017 that I felt this team was actually a playoff bubble team, first year I had any hope of a playoff appearance.

This is a very strong team when the gears are turning. Staying consistent is key, but having a goalie and a capable D core is massive.

He's playing so well I think we should go beyond an "UUUUULLLLLLLL" chant when he makes a save. Rangers fans chant "I-GOR" during play, and Ullmark has been on that level. I think "ULL-MARK" sounds more intimidating than "LI-NUS", so maybe stick the the last name here. Ullmark also goes well with the "AN-DY" chants we used to do for Anderson though, so I wouldn't be against just using that one since it's established here already.

The weirdest thing is that I can't find his thread on the trade board with the same 3 people bumping it daily the previous two months to tell us how Boston fleeced Ottawa.

The mods must have deleted the thread or something. I can't see why they would stop bumping it over the last few weeks.
Thread was closed, they don’t usually delete them though, not sure if they did.

So longer than the Ullmark so far.

and 4 more years after this.

Hasek was a merc for us. he played for us, but wasn't really ours. Linus is ours.

we should have brought Hasek back though, apparently he was willing to come back for a league min salary. how do you say no to that?

smh quit bringing back a horrible memory in an awesome thread about Ullmark.

May Ullmark continue to fix our goalie woes for the rest of his time here

Am I the only one walking on eggshells and not wanting to get too excited? I LOVE this guy, but can we please have him be steady for the next X years?*

*I think I'm legit damaged by the last 7 years.

Amen to that. Staios saying that fixing the goaltending was priority #1, and then doing what he did to solve it, gave me a ton of confidence in him. A lot of people seemed resigned to having to run it back with Korpisalo and hope for the best.

Vancouver is in a bit of disarray right now with injuries to their blueline and their top 2 centres not being on the same page. This team feels ripe for the picking and the team might go out there and play extra hard if we give Meriläinen the net. Would give Ullmark a rest day to come in at 100% against Edmonton. We'll need him at his best if we want to slow down McDrai, let alone beat the Oil

Didn't he decline NJ? I thought I remember reading that he'd turned down a couple places, like LA and NJ, but not sure if I'm remembering that correctly.
He did, but from what I remember Ullmark did not want to move mid-season. Makes sense as it would’ve been tough on his family. That’s when he declined the NJ and LA deals.

I don’t know if NJ circled back after the season or they just decided to move on and focus on Markstrom. It’s possible he was willing to go there in the summer but if Boston really wanted a 1st last year, and the Devils weren’t gonna give up their 10th overall pick, maybe they just couldn’t make a deal work.

Speaking with a couple of Sens fans last night and the love for this guy is huge, the fans love hasn’t reached the zeitgeist yet but Ullmark will be an all time beloved Sens because it’s still just the first few weeks of the relationship, but it’s crazy stupid love for most already

Let's all remember this when he hits an inevitable rough patch, and his heroics don't save the day when the team is flat in front of him.

Don't get me wrong. He is a legit star, and you could see in the preseason how he just looks different in the net than anyone we have had (even Andy). He will have a game where the puck isn't hitting him, and I hope the team can step up and support him with goals.

I'm going to be mindful to not get anxious if Ullmark has a similar stretch of games like he did at the start of the season. Sure it'll suck, but the dude is better than those games and even if he's not lights out like he is right now, he'll still have games where we lose (for whatever reason) but he'll still do his part to keep us in

Took a bit for Ullmark to be dialed in, but he's there now. You can see it in all those badass closeup shots when the camera pans over to him. Crazy eyes and incredible stillness.

He didn't look like that initially. It seems like that Philly game was the straw that broke the camel's back... in a good way!
