Two road loses in a row he’s been outgoalied - he has so win his next road start. Time for Ullmark to show up on the road and win games, not just play well and keep it close, he needs to win on the road starting now, it’s why he’s here

Exactly, the biggest problem with this team continues to be goals against, in 10 games they have allowed 33 goals, that's 3 goals a game. They have to reduce goals against & play exceptional defensively, if they wish to advance in the playoffs. I assume this is going to be Green's biggest challenge all yr.

Agreed. Not getting paid monster dollars to play just good. Has to start stealing some points. Especially when we give the team almost nothing like last night

Green and the team have so far played very good team defence.

Should have just went with Alex Lyon for cheap a coulle years ago or outbid Toronto for Stolarz. I was obviously happy getting Ullmark bit giving him 8.5 mil before playing a game was always a huge risk.

Can you imagine the uproar if we overpaid for Stolarz after giving those contracts to Murray and Korpisalo?

The team needs to be better. We have a bottom of the league defence with Zub out. We have just an average defence with Zub in the lineup. Norris line has been completely off for 3-4 games. Stutzle and Tkachuk aren’t defensively savvy forwards.

Ullmark has not been great but no goalie would save us. Getting Ullmark was the right play, now let’s see if we have a group of players ready to understand what it takes to win hockey games. I think they are ready, now it’s a matter of finding consistency in effort and focus, and staying healthy.

Looked terrible tonight. Murray flashbacks. He was making the significant saves but looked a bit too laxed in net. Like its practice.

I do not think its a concern, though. He is capable of making significant and outstanding saves. I'll be worried after the 20 game mark.

Maybe we can find a coach who makes teams play good 200 ft hockey and has a track record of making the playoffs?

Ullmark could be our worst player this season.

Very worried. He lets in softies and poorly timed goals

It's like the ghosts of Ray Emery live on. Ottawa has been a goalie graveyard since the poor guy passed.

“Paying Stolarz” How much did he get again?

.892 right now
Well I don’t think he will be this bad all year. But I don’t think he will ever give insane numbers.

Extra couple mil. Ah. It’s just a goal

He'll be fine imo. He has a very long track record of being good and has never finished a season below .900. This isn't Korpisalo where he was terrible most of his career being signed for 1 good season, or Murray where he was obviously damaged goods living off a resume.
