I'm actually looking forward to Leino coming back. I'm expecting a bounce-back year from him and I think he'll find a nice niche on the 3rd line with Grigorenko.

I hope so. I would like to see Ott, Grigs, and Leino on a line together. If Foligno, Ennis, and Stafford can hold down line 2. Then that as a 3rd line should at least be tried out. Then i would like to see Gerbe, Hecht, Scott. Or Tropp/Mcormick/Ellis juggled up some way some how. Either way i think this is how the lines should be with V,H,P as the #1

A bounce back season would be great, but it seems unlikely now that he is having nagging hip problems that will likely require surgery in the off-season. We really got boned in this signing, we all knew it was a risk when we signed him.

BillHoppeNHL Forgot to tweet this earlier ... I asked Lindy about Ville Leino and the #Sabres worrying about him missing the season "I guess the answer would be yes because he hasn’t played yet and we’re trying a different type of treatment again for what he has. You hope you can gain some traction with it. The answer is I don’t know right now."

Anyone think he plays this year?
