After watching last nights game I am starting to question Lindy's tactics.

Watch the first powerplay, the effort this team puts in. Highly disappointed in Dahlin.

At some point Lindy needs to starting yelling, benching or shipping these guys out of here.

If Lindy keeps this up he will be out of a job next year.

Posters can blame the players and say Lindy is getting the most out of these guys but it was a clownshow last night. Lindy has to take some responsibility for that.

As a coach he has to start making changes out there. Doing the same thing over and over just isn't working. The PP is even worse than last year.

Dahlin is too nonchalant at critical moments. He needs to stop pretending he's Jesus walking on water, and play hyperfocused. Frustrating to see our CAPTAIN commit so many mind numbing penalties late at critical points of the game, dumbass turnovers while the goalie is pulled, and mindlessly floating behind the net. He's a great talent, but this franchise has seeped its loser mentality into his veins. Imagine if he went to a model franchise? He'd be so much better.

If Ruff can't get these guys playing with 110% effort, then no one will. It also doesn't help that 3 of our defensemen are bottom pairing or worse. The second line goes AWOL and is a blackhole most nights.

So many issues. It sucks Ruff's return is likely going to be shit. I can't believe Im still watchinf Joki play with Power! The f***?! (Sorry, just had to throw that in there)

I 100% agree that if Ruff can't get them to play then no one can but thats my point.

If he can't get them to play then as fans we need to see benchings, scratches, demotions or trades. I say fans because thats when the base starts to turn on the team.

At some point Lindy has to do something that is noticeable on the ice even if it means changing the lineup, the PP, the PK. Joker and Bryson have been terrible and Ruff keeps putting them out there.

Can't just keep doing the same thing over and over or both Ruff and Adams will be gone. If Adams is fired there is a chance Lindy goes too. How do we know the new GM wont want to pick his own coach? I don't know to what level but maybe he gets another year if he doesn't win with the new GM he will get fired too.

At the end of the game last night Ruff put out Benson, Krebs and Kulich. Thats what I mean by making changes even if its small ones to send a message.

I don't blame the team's lack of talent on Ruff, but the "stars" on this team have rotten game awareness.
What about the guys who aren't producing or the coaching staff? It's easy to blame the stars who are probably playing injured all season.

Interesting that they're pivoting their practice to include small area games that were popular under Don. I wonder what is coming out of practice to accommodate
SAG's is modern coaching. It's proven to work. Ruff has recognized that the Sabres lose many, many tight 1 on 1, 2 on 2 battles in compressed space. SMG's are designed to improve puck possession. Line rush drilling is old, old school. The game played that way is situational rather than dominant like ti used to be.

Ruff is stuck with the skill and talent level of the players he's been given just like Donnie was. Put blame where blame belongs... ADAMS and his fixation on "HIS" roster.

And the terrible contracts he's handed out to those undeserving of them.

Obviously Lindy isn't stuck in the past if he's willing to get back to this stuff, but I wonder if they assumed 2 years of it would have developed more permanent skills

I think most fans would have said structure, not skill was the limiting factor for this team if you asked in the offseason . Granted it is surprising small area stuff wasn't still incorporated, even if it wasn't the main focus

I watched a bit of a hurricanes game from last week, and while I admittedly don't have much of an eye for systems/ strategy it seemed like their success was coming from structure over skill. Defensively they hounded the puck carriers before the opposition could get possession and offensively it looks like they live the "pucks deep" mentality. When in doubt they just whacked the puck towards the net or behind it and hoped their guy got there first.

Honestly the small area games get out guys to be more reactive or thinking about their next move before they get the puck, in addition to the stick handling and puck protection skills

I watched the Canes/Avs warm up in person a couple of weeks ago. Trust me. Its the combination of structure and skill. So many Canes blew me away with their puck handling all evening. BRind Amour's structured system works because his players have the skills to pull it off in confined spaces. The Sabres prefer (who wouldn't) to play a movement, lots of open space and passing lanes style of game.

he signed up for 2, and I think after that there was some speculation of president of hockey, but I wouldn't blame him in the least if he left this shit show of an organization to rot, and headed to Montana.

takes reps to play without thinking in any structure , intuitively .

I imagine ruff simplified to get thru one period w a lead if it was changed at all

I imagine these guys have been shamed enough for the mistakes of the past but no press is excellent to protect the kids while ruff constructively points out the panic or likely manufactured panic and how to mitigate and put out this fire

keep hamsabdwich away from yutes before all rise up and murder Captain obvious and cohorts press after winepeg seems fair

this reminds me of all the fire McD weird diggs seeing the wrong ball , bass kicking ninety miles left in a hurricane force wind that according to goal post flags was non existent , etc similar to Cincy KC London injury fun and the weird loss last year that brought bills to 6 and 6 as well .to cause franchise divorce and firings

Will CIA tell tage and dahlin someone is sleeping w wives and girlfriends at 6pm before the Jets game will sabres get a player die on ice like malarchuck and the Hamlin pied piper for all of us to collectively resurrect

how odd can this get .

I trust lindy to circle the wagons and hopefully the Jets are sorry they came on Dec 5

tune in tomorrow same cherubin channel as the nephilim do not touch the tree of life if the sabres defeat the Jets under eyes of a fed up god of parasitic archon hosts like all the ai code

Lindy can you mold candy asz first round babies into men in 24 hours w a mirror and a plan I actually think Lindy can do that if it's possible and each owns up . .. so much that they tell us all to fook off and take care of business and everyone has a good holiday without sacrificing Milan lucic and his firstborn on the alter of the burned bodies etc

I never had nostalgic feelings about Ruff, wanted Berube. Oh, well.
I think Ruff uniquely understands the buffalo media and mindset
