Ligue 1 24 25

Yeah Lyon is now 7th and a long shot for CL spots. That also means they'll be in financial hell.

Weirdly, Lyon started Cherki (and Mikautadze too, but that's less surprising having Lacazatte starting over him) on the bench and promptly lost 2-0 against Monaco.

PSG easily won with their B-team against bottom team Montpellier, Gonzalo Ramos with a hattrick.

Marseille won 2-1 away against Le Havre, Greenwood with a nice shot for the winner, Gouiri scored the first goal. Not pro-Marseille by any means, but I'd rather see Le Havre going down instead of more traditionally successful clubs like Nantes, St.Etienne or Reims. Especially since likes of Pembembe and Housni got less playing time than hoped for.

Too bad Angers won over Strasbourg, who were missing Emegha. Angers secure their top flight survival while Strasbourg's hopes of a CL spot take a big hit.

The crazy race for Europe has pressured some teams and we have some clarity after tonight and before the last game.
Monaco and OM are into CL spots. Nice, Strasbourg, Lille and somehow Lyon will compete for the 4th CL playoff spots, the EL spots and CfL spot.
Lyon needs to win and have all other 3 teams losing. Long shot. All the others are tied at 57. Going to be a wild finish.

Also since signing with OM, Gouiri has 10 goals and 3 assists in 13 games. Including some Uber goals. Or some clutch goals like tonight (brace).

Chevalier wins L1 goalie of the season.
Well deserved even though Donna has been great.
There's a real argument to be made Chevalier has been a top 3 goalie in Europe. Maybe more.

Dear UNFP...

Ali Abdi is by far the best left back in Ligue 1... During season 24/25...

Racing Paris was the top team in Paris in the PRO-era from the 1930s until the early 1960s. They even had some titles before that during the Amateur era.

Then it was a couple of unsuccessful decades for locals before PSG started to do better in the 1980s.

Psg started their best XI tonight in a match that just got underway few minutes ago (you can argue that Doue couls replace someone in the front three). Maybe it means some of these players get rested in the cup final.

Kvara equalizes before an hour mark, well struck goal.

Edit: And later Marquinhos header put them ahead.

Edit2: Ramos missing a PK and other changes (and getting a yellow for handball trying to cheat to score) won't increase his chances to start in the CL final. Kvara scores his second right after that.
