Ligue 1 24 25

"PSG-OM today what the f*** is classique? For me there is no classique, classique is when you take a hit and then you can hit back. I fight even if I know I'm going to lose, but this way it's frustrating. I'm honest: you can't compare PSG's squad and economic strength with ours"

RDZ.

The Classique thing was made when OM and PSG were fighting for the top spot. Obviously, OM's suckiness has made that moot. Blaming it on the economics when Montpellier, Monaco and Lille won a league under QSI is laughable.

RDZ easily has the second best squad and has spent a lot more than its competition for 2nd place. And yet is in trouble to keep it.

Yeah, not sure blaming Nasser for fans' chant is the way to go, but I'm sure Rabiot has plenty of bad things to say about NAK. I just don't think it's the right angle.
However, the PSG fans have plenty of things to say about Rabiot's loyalty and behaviour too.

As expected, PSG sleepwalk into the title without much opposition. They can now concentrate on the CL to show if they're actually a top side (looks like injuries to their major rivals will be a big adavantage there).

Monaco let down by their overrated players and especially terrible goaltending in the late losing goal today.

Any small chance Marseille might have had were abolished by terrible management of De Zerbi, who alianated his players and lost the dressing room by benching some of his most crucial and best players, for alleged lack of effort on the training pitch. One would have thought that by now he would have learnt that matches are not won by 100% effort of inferior players on the training pitch rather that quality moments by top players in the actual matches.

From the matches I've seen (not all of theirs), Lyon is the only team to have shown a proper quality, especially Cherki. I don't quite know why he doesn't start more or play full matches. Maybe he isn't fit or athletic enough or maybe there's some internal issues within the team, but it appears that Lyon has underachieved a bit and should have been able to provide more of a challenge for PSG.

Oh they're a top side no matter what. The football they've played this season, especially in 2025 is the best in the business.

De Zerbi is trying to change the mentality of certain players like Greenwood who love the stat sheet but don't make any effort. He's right.

Monaco was let down by shady goaltending. Their players are hardly overrated except Embolo who is really not good enough but keeps playing.

Cherki has been huge and plays in every game. But the coach doesn't want to burn him because he's the only undisputed starter. If Cherki gets injured, Lyon is doomed. Shaky defense, average goaltending, but some offensive talent. They're 4th only thanks to Cherki.
