D'Astous seems like a #1 AHL/depth NHL defenseman.

Either way, he can put up points. The NHLe calculator shakes out as:

NHL: 39 pts/season
AHL: 61 pts/season
ECHL: 135 pts/season

He'd most likely reach 60 points with Syracuse. He wouldn't be getting loads of PP time in the NHL (unless he's the new Brian Rafalski).
