Seems like they got recalled quite a bit early. They could have accrued a lot more cap if they just waited a few more days. Also Forts getting a spot over Duke/Geekie is interesting and unfortunately Huuhts is still hurt. Hope Forts does well probably his last chance

JBB has an unhealthy obsession with 25 year old rookies. I like Forts game but would just rather see Duke getting some time and progressing development.

For what it’s worth, Duke was scratched from the Crunch’s last game on Saturday after taking warm ups



Could be an injury which is why we’re seeing Fortier instead. I feel like Geekie is going to stay for a bit since they could have called him back right after they sent him down for the Cirelli injury but recalled Sheary instead for the Ottawa game.

I can never tell when something deserves it's own thread or not. Like technically there are threads for Line combos, proposals and player discussion but normally we just use the general discussion thread (because it gets more engagement?). Also we don't really use the pre game/ post game talk threads, I am assuming because it wouldn't be worth making an entire thread for that because this isn't Toronto but then I get confused on how important does something have to be before it gets it's own thread?

Sounded like when they sent Geekie down, they weren't going to rush him back right away.

For the life of me I have never understood why the Lightning justify a lifetime of AHL employment for some of the guys we've had. It's one thing to not be good enough for the NHL or to not be good enough to crack the Lightning lineup. The bullshit that grabs me most is we'll have someone on year 4 in Syracuse for whatever reason and we won't even trade them so they can get a fresh start elsewhere. And then we go follow it up with signing Kuntiz, Sheary or Morrow who play like shit every night. I don’t even want to imagine how pissed I'd be by that in my +4 draft year

It's not a wonder why a lot of our picks don't ever sign with us.
