Tampa is a very good team. They’re not perfect, but they have a way of surviving their deficiencies and just absolutely murdering you when they get rolling.
Realistically we’re not on this level. If we’re going to get our **** pushed in a certain number of times in a given season, doing it against a team like TB on a B2B after a big road win in early October is probably not the worst way to do it. Take the reality check, score some positives out of this game, and move on.
Canes just need to stop scheduling Sunday games.
Is this what having Curtis was like last year?
Everyone just got Jordan Staal “hit him in the crest” syndrome whenever they got a scoring chance? Were we just all blind to it?

Yeah, this is a massive overreaction to one bad period. And it wasn't even that bad. Tampa Bay didn't dominate. Chances are about even. McElhinney was very good, which we knew was coming. Mrazek wasn't very good. I feel that we're giving them too much respect -- too much room, but I don't think we're playing poorly. The "bad clears" thing is frustrating, but it's clearly not a systemic issue.
We had all kinds of trouble with the puck in that period. We had time and still didn't get good pieces of the puck on clears, flips and shots. Maybe the ice is an issue. But if Necas and Aho make the easy flips to center, we're pretty much even with these guys.
Well saidLike we say in germany, "Beide teams spielen mot offenem visier".
How would you translate it?Well said
