LA would be interested because his initials are LA. Think of the marketing opportunities.
I am still upset we never signed Paul Ranger

Good analysis. Add to this that Detroit had Lias pegged as their first round pick until the Rangers traded in front of them. Different GM but same Euro scout.
I’ll cut my losses and take a second or perhaps a player.
Good job. This is the first case where someone has put forth a legitimate case for why a team might be willing to give up a 2nd for him — without any wishful thinking or hyperbole.

If they get a second for him I'll be thrilled.
Unless some team is really in love with him, no way they get a second
The answer was in the documentary. He had crippling anxiety.Same. He was a good player too. I remember TSN had a documentary about him a few years ago but I never watched it. Wonder why he just, left the NHL....

The post you're quoting isn't about AnderssonNever figured out how the rangers missed this about him ...

Guess that explains why nothing came up when I Googled “tsn the lias andersson story”.That was about Paul Ranger, not Lias Andersson

Yea I’m in the just get a 2nd and move on ....if he’s looks good overseas they could get it But a 3rd May be the cost
He's never going to play here, may as well get somethingThat's how you create a losing organization. Give up on a kid who is 21 and you took 7th overall and be happy to get a second round pick for him.
He sucked in the ahl too...is that Quinn's fault?Andersson will be one of the few gripes I have with DQ
I am afraid that Lias is a big fish in a small pond and he likes it that way..... I hope I'm wrong.......
Possible. It's also entirely possible that he will develop and come over later, start his successful NHL career at age 22/23 like many others

I think his problems were similar to Chytil's early on where neither of them were processing things as fast as they need toHis feet aren’t the problem. They aren’t even that bad and there are plenty of worse skaters in the league who are useful players.
