OT: Let's Remember Some Guys

I've mentioned it here before but Beck's shoulder was never the same after the Pat Flatley hit in the 1984 playoffs.

What type of injury was it exactly and it is something like an ACL was where back in the day it was bad, but modern medicine it wouldn't have been as big an issue?

I remember Beck coming back with the Kings in the late 80s when Duguay was there. Barry had one of the worst helmets I've ever seen.

Speaking of ACLs, I hope Tomas Kloucek is living a good life in Czech nowadays. Kid got some bad injuries at really bad times and never reached his potential. I saw him when he made it to the Thrashers and it was sad. Damaged goods.

I loved Tomas Kloucek in the short time he was with us. Not really an offensive D but that kid could hit and he was great at triggering the opposition. He was like a more frequent Trouba when the NHL was quite a bit more open season.

If his helmet had of been fastened more securely that injury might not have happened .I think it was a clean hit from what I recall.....

- Pavel Rachunek
- Colton Orr (loved him for some reason. Did exactly what you expected at a bargain opposed to what we brought in to get exactly the same).
- Christian Bäckman (he was 80% top 10 defender in the League. The last 20% made him a constant liability and a extremely frustrating player to watch)
- Marek Malik (he had a hard time in here, lol)
- ofc Avery

Saw this in the Post today -- a little known fact I was never aware of!!!! Always loved Sarge!!!

Maybe one of the reasons that Cuylle reminds me of Steve Vickers is that the latter winger, selected 10th overall in 1971, is the only forward ever drafted by the Rangers to make an NHL All-NHL squad, as No. 8 did in 1974-75 for the second team following a 41-48-89 season.
