Reality is this just like last year:
If we don’t play a perfect game McDrai have to score 4ppg for a win
If we don’t play a perfect game we need 6 to win
If we play a perfect game McDrai need 2ppg to win
Goaltending the sole reason.
In my opinion, your comment at the end here is completely insane.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the goaltending in the Oilers' previous game with Dallas. If the Oilers (a club with
EIGHT 30-goal scorers in the line-up... without Kane) had managed their standard 3 goals, they would have gotten at least 1 point in that game, maybe 2.
Skinner maybe should have saved the first goal by Duchene (or, did it tweak off a leg on the way to the net?), but even if he saved it, the Oilers still lose the game.
I would rate the Oilers' goatending as "average". It's not great, it's not terrible. It's just about okay. Right now, after a 2-4 start, goaltending is probably the fifth or sixth biggest issue.
