Just ****ing great!

Matt ****ing Carpenter is back.

Here comes another losing streak.
When I heard he had an option year in his contract, I thought that would be perfect...then the cardinals inexplicably sign him to a 3 year extension. Worse than the Bruins signing Backes, almost as bad as Lucic contract.

I didn't understand that extension either. Especially for someone with such a weak arm.

OH.. and PLEASE, get rid of Fowler!

Once again the front office is going to have egg on their face for not doing anything to fix an incredibly obvious glaring need with the starting pitching.

I warned people about Mikolas and how that contract was not warranted yet. Nothing that guy throws screamed elite talent to me, it reminded me of a Jeff Suppan sort of guy. Looks like another classic Mo overpayment.

Then management continues to feed Wainwright and Wacha starts like its 2013 still. I dont mind Hudson, I think he has good stuff and same goes for Flaherty. But yeah 3/5 of the rotation is hot garbage and Mo decides to pass on Keuchel then do nothing at the deadline. Its a total embarrassment and a slap in the face to the 3 million suckers who pack Busch every year.

Hey, the team scored 7 runs in 5 games and lost all 5, but Shildt and Co. really like what they saw out there. The team is fine. What you’re seeing isn’t what is actually happening.

Not to mention 29 hits in 5 games for an average of 5.8 hits per game.

Only thing this team has going for it is the sweet Sandlot bobble heads they’re giving away in a couple weeks.

The Cardinals are in a spot where they should probably just blow it up but with the amount of money they have tied up in older, unproductive players it’s not really feasible.

That should have been done 2 or 3 years ago.

Wow! Harrison Bader sucks at the plate.

Terribad!
He really does. I watched two of his ABs tonight. First one watches three strikes and doesn’t swing the bat, second one he opens by swinging at two pitches in the other batter’s box.

If he could’ve just get on base at a league average rate he would be a crazy valuable player with his defense and speed on the bases. People have been saying that about Billy Hamilton for like a decade though and he never figured it out. I do have a little faith still in Bader though. I think he can find a way to be an average offensive player, which would make him a true core player.

Meanwhile 20 year old Dylan Carlson is killing AAA pitching since being promoted after killing AA pitching. Looks to be an exciting player. Probably will see him next year.

He has been getting a lot BBs lately, but his swing is bad.

And he’s been getting on base by hoping the pitches are called balls.
