Why?

Why is Letang back on the top power play over Martin when the PP was a lot better with Martin on the point?

1st PP is 4 lefties and 1 bad righty. That one should be Beau or non at all (maybe Niskanen by stretch)

2nd PP is 4 righties and 1 lefty.

Because Letang fires passes at Geno's ankles. Letang has no business on the powerplay now that Martin's slap shot is no longer a marshmallow.

Letang on the PP is such an abortion right now. You pull goalies when they don't have it, DB...you can do the same with Tanger on the PP.

Especially with Bennett playing as well as he has. The guy could be golden on those left half boards. He was born for that spot.

I still dont understand why they cant just put martin back on the power play. It worked. He doesnt have a booming shot but he makes up for it by making smart plays. It's painfully obvious.

I understand people might want niskanen or beau bennett because they are right handed and they may fair better than Letang...but Martin has already proved to be a success on the point. We're not looking for style points...we just want goals.

There's no reason why Bennett and Martin couldn't both be there. Martin had some 1st unit PP time today.

Letang's 5v5 play is amazing. His defense and vision is tops in the league. But on the PP, his decision-making is horrible, and shot inaccurate. He'll figure it out in time.

You need someone to screen the goalie. If you have 5 perimeter players, your powerplay wont work

I said that earlier this year. Then we tried it and it worked. Like I said, rotate players. Give different looks with different powerplays.

Also, Neal can go to the net. Crosby can go to the net. They don't have to plant themselves there to be effective.
