my Canadian Family Roots go back to the late 1700s when an employee from the HBC came from England as a land surveyor and map maker... He settled in Saskatchewan and started our family with a Native Canadian Woman... I've never met anyone who's Roots go back farther than ours, goes back almost 100 years before Canada even became a Country in 1867.

My whole family are either Leafs fans or Habs fans... it's literally like the Hatfeilds and McCoys come Hockey Season.

Born in Scotland (Aberdeen)...Came to Canada (Timmins, Ont) at age 5..My dad took an instant liking to hockey and we watched the Saturday night games on TV and listened to the Sunday night games on the radio.Dave Keon was my favourite player and I was thrilled to meet him briefly when we played in Maple Leaf Garden as bantams. I actually saw the Leafs win 4 cups in the 60's... Ah the good ole days.

Born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec to French mother and French-Irish Father in 88
95% of my relatives are Canadiens fans including my mother, we don't talk about hockey much,
Moved to London, Ontario at age 5, spent some time in Edmonton, came back to London
Been a leafs fan since 95

Born in Oakville in '97 to Ukie parents, still live here with my folks. Played hockey and lacrosse my whole life growing up, no one else in my family really watches hockey seriously but I started watching the Leafs at 14/15 years old, been hooked ever since. Was going to go to UofT for engineering but last second decided that getting my Bachelor's of Music was a better career decision LOL. Absolutely sucks having no work due to Covid, but on the plus side I've been able to actually enjoy watching Leafs games live... usually I have to PVR the games and watch them at whatever ungodly hour I finally get home after gigging... everyone I work with knows that they are not to spoil anything about the game to me under any circumstance :)

Mississauga was so expensive in the eighties. Vacancies for apartments was nil and they pumped the prices really high. Was a blast around there then. I rented off relatives so i was good. There was jobs everywhere and as a you g guy I didn’t last very long at a crap job lol. I’d quit one in the morning and start another one the next day. It was that easy. I would say nahhh I’m not filling out a application if you aren’t hiring today and sometimes they’d say well hold on haha. Was f****** great. They had to pay well too because it was so expensive. Good times

There might be other Leafers in here that remember that. Didn’t wait for no man back then ha

It was a awesome time in the 80s and 90s but everything started to change...I thank God I got my truck drivers license at 21 cause it has helped me through alot !!! Nothing better than getting paid to visit so many different places throught Canada and the states...from what I remember of mississauga from the 80s and early 90s reminds of st johns and surrounding areas ...its dosent take long to get out of city where like going to Barrie back in the day was like going to the countryside ...now its like you don't even leave the city an ur there ...lol

Small world man, I lived around Dixie and the lakeshore in the late 70,s I use to fish the generating plant for trout and salmon in the winter. Fished the breakwall at the mouth of the credit in the fall as well. I'd fish with My dad for smelt off the piers at Marie Curtis park in the 60,s.
Sometimes I wonder why I'm not glowing in the dark.

pretty cool, one of my old bosses has the same last name as you, he is from nfld, but I think he is a habs fan lol

Born and raised in Lewiston, Ny and still reside in Niagara Township.
My Mothers family are all from Quebec and Dads family from Italy.
My Mothers side were all Montreal fans, my Father was a longtime Sabres Seaon Ticket holder from day one in 1970.
I don’t have many fond memories of him taking me to see Toronto at the Aud, in fact I believe it was his way of punishing me for being the only Leaf fan that he knew!
Dear Auntie Jeanette (the only leaf fan in the family) from Welland was responsible for me becoming a Leaf fan when she gifted me with a Dave Keon Coffee mug at age 6.
As you can see...it was a tough childhood being an American Maple Leaf fan, living in the Buffalo area during the 70’s and 80’s...in fact, it really sucked.
