I like this. I just dont like the lack of speed and sandpaper in the bottom 6 when you take podzilla out of it (even though it would be incredible if he established himself in a top 6 role). And Kane will be coming back early in 2025 apparently. The lineup is going to be really deep when he comes back, will make for some interesting line combos especially if Podklozin establishes himself on the Drai line although I think he needs to pot some goals to stick even though he does a lot of good without scoring so not sure how long he'll last up there if he's not scoring. Regardless...
Kane-McDavid-Hyman
Podkolzin-Draisaitl-Arvidsson
RNH-Henrique-Skinner
Perry-Philp-Brown
Janmark, Ryan
Deep group, arguably the best center and right wing depth in the league.
The downside to changing this is moving Kane to a bottom 6 role where he will pout and get a -5 effort/work ethic debuff. But then Ryan Nothing-Hopkins gets gifted top line minutes to do absolutely nothing at even strength (or pp for that matter, too) while providing zero energy.
If Nuge turns it around and Kane becomes his older self, it's 4 insane lines. Right now, I'm seeing an insane top 6 and average bottom 6. Even with some skilll on the bottom 6, they aren't going to thrive with non-top 6 minutes imo.
It would be incredible if Nuge-McD-Hyman could go back to being the best line in the world and Kane just dominates on the 3rd line, as I feel like that's where things will likely go; especially because Kaner will need time to acclimate back into shape
