If these stats are not enough , that OT Gauthier goal he assisted on should be enough proof. Really wanted him to hit over 50 points, but it’s so hard when your PP is worst in the league.

If the stats were taken over the last few months, I’m guessing he might have. But over a full season, he probably wouldn’t qualify. He was pretty tentative early in the season, and only over the last 30-40 games did he really start to skate aggressively and show off his speed.

EHT vs Switzerland, game as such is a complete clusterf*** and Carlsson doesn’t have the best linemates and the NHL:rs are still getting acclimated to the new surroundings so everything’s uncomfortable, at best. But the speed surprised me.

Nah, Cutter needed 3rd/4th line minutes to get used to the speed. He should had started there to begin with though and then moved up.

I found a video on youtube with the highlights - only the goals and their replays, so not a look at other chances or nice plays throughout the game. Looked like Leo got a secondary assist on the first goal? Also before setting up Eklund he was protecting the puck, and had some good movement in the zone - gotta feel nice not being stuck in the bumper position or net front on the PP.

I’m counting down the days until he’s likely centering Forsberg and Raymond instead of the placeholders that woefully underperformed in every single offensive category that he centered today. Yes I know one of them was Lundeström(sorry), but in a top six role he is just way out of his depth even at this level. Also he is playing wing a position where I think he’s kinda trash.

He’d most likely prosper even in a top six role in the SHL. Which in turn will make him a better offensive player and more of a jack of all trades in international competitions, think Oscar Lindberg, and not just a role player. Which if I’m being honest is more or less becoming obsolete internationally.

I'd not be surprised if someone gives him a shot and he succeeds in a deeper roster as a 4th line/PK guy with speed
