Leo Carlsson since Feb: 21gp 10g 23p +13

Its weird seeing that the Ducks offense is actually good, and Zegras plays zero part in this team.
Zegras has seen a bit of an uptick recently. He's actually had some greasy net front goals, and started showing his offensive flair again. But yeah the offensive results aren't really coming from him. Hopefully these signs of life kickstart him again.

You think Anaheim tries to trade him this offseason? Realistically I think Verbeek could get a decent return back for Zegras.

I wouldn't guess so, Verbeek has said he wants to add a top 6 forward to the group this off-season, seems counterintuitive to trade a guy who should be able to fill that role and has proven it.

Plus his career seems to be on the mend currently.

This question becomes a lot more complicated if the Ducks take a LW or C in the draft and they start pressuring for ice time a year from now though. Especially if Z doesn't get back to his form.

In this same stretch where Carlsson, McTavish, and Gauthier have started coming alive, Zegras has been on around a 57 point pace. So even he seems to be finding his way at wing, whereas before he only produced at C. Eye test says he's creating lots of chances.

Mintyukov also seems to be on an uptick (supposedly he was playing through some sort of nagging injury), and Zellweger has had strong games. Throw in Colangelo and Nesterenko and nearly every young Duck is playing at or above expectations now. It's probably too late for a playoff push but it bodes well for next year.

Fantilli vs Carlsson was a win/win decision for Anaheim. Fantilli/Smith looks like a win/win decision for Columbus. Anaheim, Columbus, and San Jose all seem content with their picks which is good for everyone
A stacked draft that looks to be on track to deliver on its promise. I'm not even as down on Bedard as others seem to be. Leonard could be an absolute stud for Washington too.

Reinbacher and Simashev, not so sure about them.

Having 40 points with Anaheim is pretty impressive. Terry and McTavish lead his team with only 51 and 45 pts....
Carlsson proably has 50 pts playing with another team.

I don't understand Anaheim low scoring. They have so many good forward....

It’s been a hell of a lot better can see it coming. The first half of the year we were completely brutal offensively.

I would consider signing him max term right about now. 55mil/8y possibility? Would help ducks for a long time. If he keeps this up, there's no way he gets under 8 per year.

Ya, we know the top 5 forwards in this draft are going to be compared and linked their whole career. Which is unfortunate because everyone is very happy with who they got and all 5 of those teams would probably make the exact pick again.

PP is one of the main reasons for that. They are like around a 12% rate. It’s mind-boggling how with all this skill they can’t execute a decent PP.

Ducks forwards have probably lost at least 20-25% of their production because of that.

To put things in better perspective, Carlsson has 31 points at ES, Bedard has 32 and has played at least a half a dozen more games with a lot more ice time than Leo.
