I agree with your points, except it should be something other than the RoH.

BTW, Gretzky should not be in the Coyotes ring of honor either.

The other option (which I'd have been fine with) would have been to retire her jersey and put it in the rafters next to Doan's.

Honestly, Leighton's place in the Ring of Honor is one of the only ones up there I really appreciate being there. Tkachuk, Teppo, and (god help me) Roenick are the only other ones up there who should be up there. Much as I love Dale Hawerchuk, he never played a game as a Coyote, and neither did Hull or Steen. Gretzky... I could go either way. Hated him as a head coach, but without him we wouldn't have the team here still.

But in my mind the Ring of Honor should be for people who impacted the franchise here in AZ in a positive way, and Leighton qualifies better than most of the names up there right now.
