I'm gonna put Fleury as extremely unlikely at best solely because we aren't allowed to get him back with retention. So unless Lehner or Martinez is out for the season on LTIR the cap won't work.
Is getting a player back with retention even allowed within a calendar year?
Article says Lehner's shoulder(yes, the very same) is his UBI and will eventually require surgery. Also why they're looking at goalies.I'm gonna put Fleury as extremely unlikely at best solely because we aren't allowed to get him back with retention. Nope. Gotta wait 365 days.
Only thing I can think of is between this and the Faksa rumor (which I only see from one random twitter user) is that McCrimmon is trying to interfere with Colorado trying to acquire these guys & drive up the price.
Both players to Colorado make much more sense.
Brossoit is a known quantity, I hope they play Thompson a game or two, particularly against the likes of Buffalo, Philadelphia, Sharks, et al., like to see what we have in him.
Maybe Lehner and Stone come back for playoffs to do the ultimate FU to the league.
Lehner is not going to LTIR. He's been practicing so he'll be back soon.

I thought they confirmed it was a torn labrum?
Seravalli said that. Deboer said that was not the injury the next day. Torn labrum would mean he's done for the year, not practicing and close to coming back.
Hence my confusion. I thought Gary Lawless confirmed it on the broadcast tonight ?
I don't watch the intermissions so I have no idea what Lawless said, but him practicing tells more than what anyone says I think.
