I agree, but it depends on what happens this year but if the Oil go 8+1 in Expansion then there is a strong possibility he would have to be exposed... it's always prident to listen to offers and manage your assets, not fall in love with them. I would say his value is at a high point... the time to listen to as many offers as possible.

Pacioretty uses neither most nights is the problem so we need to find someone who does - in a perfect world we keep Max and add someone who fits that bill

Actually in a perfect world we find a #2C and Top pairing LHD first then worry about #2LW

JVR somewhat fits the bill, big skilled LW. Wouldn't bring the physicality aspect though, its a shame I've seen him get pissed and crush people, he just doesn't do it regularly. He seems capable of it but just doesn't have it in him I guess. Anyway asking price would be high so don't know the Habs would be interested.

JVR and Therrien don't fit. Therrien seems to have a big say in who gets to be a Habs these days so I doubt JVR's defensive woes are his cup of tea.

Seems that have change with a games played.

Last season JVR played 40 games...had 29 points .72PPG.

This season in 14 games he has 11 points .78PPG.

The only reason some of us would trade him is because we have a ton of young forwards and we need D. It has nothing to do with his game...just that he is probably our best trade chip to upgrade the D.

Horrible for the Flyers. They have enough young defensemen (prospects) as it is, so Juulsen and Beaulieu are kind of redundant. DD is a pure cap dump, so you're left with a very weak package.
