Now we gotta hope for big years from King and the Big Red Dog

or whoever takes their place (From that same quote (above) on LW )

And then our third line was the lowest scoring third line in the National Hockey League. So is ‘change’ not good? There better be ‘change’ in terms of performance.

From today's practice , DS that sly fox...

On how often he prefers to work on special teams:
We practice power play before all the media gets here lots this year. Get the fog on the glass [before you start] saying what the lines are, right? So we’ve done that lots. You guys are actually very fortunate in this building. Usually you’ve got to go somewhere else. And it’s not because you’re media and I’m coach, but quite honest you shouldn’t be allowed to stand on the glass, just like the fans. Because they can see who’s got a broken finger, and who’s got a broken nose, right? And if you want to be a bad guy, then you tell the other team.

I have a feeling that we are going to see Pearson in a month of two if the Left side doesn't start scoring a whole lot more

Lowest scoring left wings in the NHL, and the lowest scoring 3rd line in the NHL, yet some people wonder why others might have concerns about rolling with the same bottom six...

LW:
Brown
Frattin
King
Clifford
Carcillo

The problem is that the first two LW's on the list are natural RW's.

Not much in line in Manchester that is ready to contribute besides Pearson. Kozun was invisible in the pre-season

10th highest scoring team in the league.

Looks like that aborigine is getting a little too friendly with a young dingo in that pic. You, you want to talk about it?
:sarcasm:

Ahhhhh walkabout, that brings back memories.
;)

What's your initial thoughts on Frattin? I loved the kid in Toronto but I almost never watch West games.
You're going to love his straight-way speed + shoot from the side.

He looks pretty good.

He needs time to learn the system and to develop his confidence but the kid can play and being on a line with Carter and Richards should go a long way to helping get there
He looks good and will be an absolute upgrade over Penner.

Can't wait to see him reach 100%. Should be a nice addition.

You know what TG? I thought of that watching him play last Friday. That he stays healthy all year, 82 games gelling with JC and MR ought to make that one potentially lethal line come playoff time. New system, coach and linemates, takes time and i didn't expect to see him fit into things as quickly as he has. He's trying hard, and has said he communicates 'all the time' with Carter and Richards. And they showed Carter on the bench during that game talking to him and using his hand and motioning to the ice to explain something. Richards talks all the time on the ice, and Frattin seems to be pretty eager to work hard to fit in.

It would be great to have two solid top 2 lines in the playoffs who produce in the O zone and protect in the D.

The Kings are on NBCSN tonight at 8pm ET if you get the channel.

Frattin is going to be better than Penner and that is all that matters to me at this time
