I think you're being overly sensitive.

If by sensitive you mean logical .. you are correct.

Nice try.

...based on ONE year...does anyone nabbing Kuzmenko see a 35 goal scorer there still??...the history of the League is filled with ONE YEAR Wonders who never repeat and who's career stats back that up...

We are arguing for a one year wonder... you are arguing for a Zero year wonder.

...and yet their career averages are fairly close, even with Cozens ONE YEAR explosion...you think GMs don't also notice things like that??...you think Beniers value is that of his 1st season and not that plus what he has done since, which has been a significant drop-off??...good luck with that... 🤣

Of course Beniers value is not the same...nor is Cozens and nobody here is treating Cozens as having a 30 goal 70 point value. I swear to God you guys don't listen.. nobody here wants value packages for Cozens.. if we can't get an upgrade utilizing Cozens and other assets so be it. We keep him.

...said this in the other Cozens thread; best thing Buffalo can do here is package Cozens with either Byram or Power, since Buffalo is loaded on the LD, and take a swing at a BIG fish...dunno who that BIG fish is, but it would be in Adams best interest to find one and throw that offer out...

We tried to do that for EP40. Problem is, Allvin did the smart thing and kept EP40 (for now).

I agree. He needs to be packaged with other assets... otherwise we should keep him because his value has tanked enough where it doesn't make sense to move him on his own at this time.

Don’t think Calgary is a good trading partner for buff - regarding cozens anyways. They’re not gonna give their young nhl ready talent away and that’s what buff needs.

Maybe if they want to flip frost plus in a package? But that would be weird.

I’m gonna call slim to none on this happening unless bud surprises and takes picks.

It’s pretty much a guarantee he has them on his NTC and wouldn’t re-sign there.
I wouldn't call a 6 team NTC a guarantee at all and he could absolutely waive it. Remember Kuzmenko literally waived his twice now. I don't think there is any chance he would waive it in season right now but come July 1st if he is asking for 9.5M because of the rising cap, and Calgary isn't willing to go there but Buffalo is, then he could absolutely waive to go to the Sabres.

Lmk when Dach ever achieves something remotely close to Cozens’ 22-23 season. Cozens has demonstrated far greater upside than Dach. Just a fact.

The NHL is about talent yes, but about $/performances either.

Cozens contract is something that drags his value down, that added to his regression since that famous 22-23 season you're talking about.

Anyway, I personally wouldn't pay a premium price for him and I doubt NHL GM's would.

His value is better than Dach's?

Maybe, but the difference is certainly not a middle of the 1st Rd pick or Mailloux...

His value is determined from demand. If 2/3's of teams are interested.. I think it is fair to say his value far exceeds Dachs .. his bloated contract becomes less significant each year with the rising cap.

3rd party, but I'd be surprised if Dach's value was much more than a 2nd rounder. Cuzens, while not currently a 1C but still with some potential, is worth substantially more.

Adams won't sell low, and won't accept future trade, unless third team can agree on taking the assets right away for a player.

Nah. He has already stated he wants to win and Buffalo looks like it’s nowhere close to ending the longest playoff drought in the NHL. With the cap going up he will have his choice of contenders.
