I've never felt this low as a Sabres fan. Beyond embarrassing. It's time. FIRE EVERYONE!
There is no reason to be a Sabres fan. Why are we still here? This team may make the playoffs someday but they have no real promise. They’re the worst franchise by such a wide margin that the fans have only ourselves to blame at this point.

We’re a bunch of morons for caring and pretending there’s any hope, even in the long run.

Certainly those would help. But I see some players who are not tough to play against because if they are the other team will eventually push back. If you aren’t willing to answer the bell, even if you are gonna lose, then it is simply easier to not be tough to play against and go through the motions. If you are Dahlin and going to get physical, at some point you better be able to back it up. If not your are a just a punk, ala Risto. Now I don’t want my #1 throwin hands and getting injured but you have to be willing at some point. Hell Perreault had to with Dan Maloney and had the respect of the league afterwards.
I also don't want Dahlin throwing punches. He's the Sabres most talented player. But his physical game is many times borderline illegal (cheap). The ref's have noticed and I personally believe Rasmus is on their sh!t list. One reason why he can be noticeably mugged or chopped and not receive a call.

Folks aren't gonna like me for this but your use of the term "punk" is closer to the truth than many will admit. (I know you didn't call Dahlin a punk... you called Risto one...)

Could be wrong here, but wasn't the scuffle at the end of tonight's game all set off by a Dahlin administered..... ahhh .... "hit" that most of us would have taken exception to if it had been done to one of our guys?

I'm a recovering addict and use it as a way to divert attention away from harmful inclinations. Not sure what everyone else’s excuse is.

Keefe would be the best coach the Sabres have had in decades.

Hoping everyone saw Chad's very, very appropriate thread above. Had a lot more written but decided against it for the better.

I'll just say this - people are comparing a game where the youngest team in the league put up a 78% on the Moneypuck deserve-to-win-o-meter against a "contender" to the Miller-Lucic incident. To the lowest moments in franchise history. We're all disappointed in this season, but get a f***ing grip.

A sizeable fringe of this fanbase needs an Ayahuasca retreat this summer. Let go of 13 years. Get some perspective and try to enjoy what the future may hold. You're killing the franchise and you don't even realize it.

Yup, the fans kill the franchise. Not the bad coaches, GMs and the horrible owner. The maybe future we've been sold for over a decade is nothing, means nothing and never will. Make moves to get into the now, stop wasting everybodys time. No franchise is moving at the speed we are, they make moves to improve their teams constantly. The just happy to be in Buffalo standard we have, is shit. You don't win with this garbage, the standard should be we demand you to work your ass off, from the GM down to the last guy in the organization. We're in year 13, nothing has really worked out, no coach, no GM, no trade, no prospect, no FA signing at least not to the point it changed the franchise from being the worst run team in this league. I stopped caring about potential when they sold off RoR, Eichel and Reinhart. We waited for them to make a change and nothing happend.

Stop waiting for a future that will never come and get in the now.

The franchise is dead, the people complaining are the only ones left who care. I didn’t see the game but I’d be bitching too, if I wasted time on it.

Do you realize the arena was full of opposing team’s fans? That literally doesn’t happen anywhere else. The games can still be fun if you come across really cheap tickets, but there is no reason to follow them as a hobby or fan when there are a million of other better things to do in life.

Anyway, I didn’t even realize people still used twitter. Those are the real folks who need a Ayahuasca retreat. It’s full of almost nothing but bots, nazis, and child porn.

You're using score effects to try to justify a poor performance.

60% of the Sabres total xgf for the game came in the final 16 minutes after the leafs took their foot off the gas and went into turtle mode. The leafs held us to 0 high danger corsi in the 2nd period. 3 total for the first 44 minutes.

Sabres deserved to win that game. Samsonov played amazing. 2-3 sure goals he took away.

Sabres try to do too much. I counted 11 times they had the simple play available and didn’t take it, instead trying for the difficult play and it didn’t work.

Most of us fans are out of money to put in the machine and are preparing to walk away if things don't change, i.e. get a coach who isn't a punchline which they don't seem like they have any interest in doing

Yeah, the Sabres at 5-on-5 had 1 HDCF for the first 2 periods. That was it.

I’m 26 years old, half my life I’ve seen nothing but losing. We’ve all collectively spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on this team and have gotten a shit sandwich in return. We’ve been optimistic for years about this team turning It around and they don’t. We were optimistic through the Eichel years. We were optimistic for the second rebuild with Adams. This team is still so far from good. I’m at the point where I can’t be calm and collected about It.

I agreed with much of his thread. Though the irony of Chad or anyone from Sabres twitter posting that is amazing.

The hit on Brodin was from behind and the hit on Grieg in the OTT game was also dangerous. You can’t make those and expect the officials to give you the benefit of the doubt when someone takes liberties with you. And I agree hit cleanly and if someone has their feelings hurt be ready to answer.

My comments were more toward the other players who we keep thinking if only they finished their check, rubbed the man out, cleared the front. That isn’t going to happen if there is a chance the other guy pushes back and wants to go. If you are not willing to stand up for yourself they will continue to push back. Power, Joker, Greenway, yes Greenway, VO Quinn Peterka Skinner all shrink and chirp when called. Again you don’t want skilled players getting rung up like Cozens or Krebs do, but there has to be personal pride. Reinforcements would help too. Bit you can’t rely on someone else to police everyone for you. Sure a bit of sandpaper will have your back if he knows you have his. I found it too coincidental that Greenway was less aggressive and didn’t go to the front against a team with Reaves in the lineup.

I do not advocate fighting as a strategy, but a willingness to stand up for yourself gets around. It also plays with officials. They know when they have to diffuse a situation and make a call or risk it getting out of hand by players who are constantly hooked, slashed, held etc.

This team is a reflection of its leadership at the ice and front office level. It doesn’t bode well in my opinion.

Brodie saw Tuch coming for a big hit on him so at the last second pivots towards the end boards to bail out by going low bridge under the Tuch hit. At the exact same second as Brodie starts to bail, Dahlin brushes against him from behind, at worst gives him a light tap.

1:55 mark of this replay is where the best angle starts

Whats it gonna take to get Granato canned? 31 other teams would have canned Granato by now.

Sooner or later the team wins despite Granato being awful. This team has enough talent to make the playoffs.

When is Adams and company going to see that?
