It's really bad. ESPN is genuinely the worst network out there regarding manufacturing the narrative and pandering exclusively to the 'favorites'.

Watching this broadcast you'd never know the Canes finished back to back seasons with top 5 points finishes and back to back division titles in arguably the 2 toughest divisions during those years. It's all Toronto all the time.

I genuinely hate how much they go out of their way to ignore teams that aren't in their inner circle. They do it across all sports and it's infuriating.

I don’t wanna ever hear anyone on HF saying that the Canes play boring after this game. All Toronto has done is clog the middle. We’ve definitely just let them annoyingly sit back and do it so far, but good lord they’ve turned the game into a complete slog.
