He could’ve played it better, but he shielded the threat to the point that there wasn’t even a shot taken. That goal is 100% on Andersen, what should have been a covered puck literally rolled past him.
Can’t agree. Slavifin has to get either the puck or the stick. He didn’t get either, got outplayed on the puck overall, lost position. Anderson may be off this season but that goes in on a lot of guys, Nylander got the last second change of direction on him.

I think Freddie looks the same as last year, it’s just different mojo. He’s been a slow moving, over trusting his position guy the whole time for us imo. Last year it worked so far it’s not really so far.

Its time for the Mgmt team to approach Stastny and say:
“ if you want any chance of a good contract next year, we will need to find you more ice time elsewhere. It ain’t working here. What do you want?”
Honestly it's probably time for management to realize we aren't a team that can go toe to toe with the best in the league. We can beat up on bad and mediocre teams but the best consistently whip us.

Our top line isn't good enough. We have an elite 2nd line but our top line is average at best. You aren't going to win the Cup with an average top line. And if our defense isn't playing it's ass off, our goalies kind of suck.

seriously , it would be so easy for teams to win against the Canes , demand an afternoon game and put a rookie or unknown goalie . I really hope Kochetkov will be ready next year , im so done with Andersen and looking at next year free agent goalies(not a great ufa year for goalies) we might be stuck re-signing him if koch isnt ready

I agree that Freddie is more or less the same as last year, and too much is made of these micro changes between games.

I don’t agree that that is a normal goal to allow. Slavin could have made a better play on the puck, but it’s an acceptable conservative option to shield the puck and let his goalie play it. There’s no reason any goalie at any level should let a loose puck just roll past him like that.

I’m ready to see Coghlan back in and some more speed in the bottom 6, not sure how you get speed tho with Dzingel, Drury and Rees as the potential call ups.

Agree on Stastny being very disappointing so far. Still, they’ve only played 12 games and won 2/3 of them, they’ll be fine, just need some fine tuning.
