League?

does anybody know og a girls team near saratoga Springs, or schuylerville NY? My parents said i could play when i learn to skate and puck handle (stick handle?) but i cant play in a guys league (they think i'll get hurt ) and all i know of is the blue knights, guys team. HELP!

I've seen girls play on some of the lower leagues with no problems. You shouldn't run into any problems if you really wanna play. Be careful, I met one girl at open hockey a few weeks ago at Bridgewater, NJ who drove all the way from PA because the guys there were sexist and didn't wanna play with a girl. You may run into that. But if you can find a guys team at your local rink in just a regular house league that will take you, play with them. I haven't seen teams that most women couldn't handle being on or playing against.
