League leaders in near misses

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Curious...

1. What was the source?
2. What if a player hit both?
3. Curious how many of these were on the same possession in off zone that fidnt produce a goal.

Thus is part of what I talked about elsewhere in the idea if small margins.
In that list 4 players are from buffalo.

Their total is 51. They have had about 75% of the games they lost in reg or in OT totaling 30 out of 41 IORzc. They score in 10 of these games where post becomes goal they turn some games into W in teg or tied forcing OT where its 50/50 on extra point likely adding 15 pts to buffalo record putting them in the WC race

Not surprised. Makar and Mack tries to pick corners as much as possible. Very rarely desperately shoot into a goalie's breadbasket.

Cool stat, where did you get that from ? I'm interested to see what Matthews near misses were last year, I think he had well over 20+ posts

I am assuming accuracy, but it does happen a few times per year where you hit both on one shot.

Smilar with the Avs. 3 of the top 7. Assuming even half of those go in, its likely a ton of wins added to their total.

So, does this mean that a player with high goal totals but less of these near misses is more an accurate sniper?

I inderstand.....

With buffalo they didnt have thr situation of puck hit post with close rebound and scrum occurs and goal is scored. It was more player shoots, Hits the post and goes out of play or hits boards and exits zone or D clears

Another thing--- unsure how much they researched it getting tipped or deflected by a teammate. If a goal was scored they would dig into tests for who to credit but not on shots that hit the post

Likely one dude whos job is to watch games and do all these random stats. Sees a shot, gives credit to x player, then checks a couple boxes on what type of shot it was.

The miss wide and over is interesting to. Your boy Dahlin is high up in over's.
