I haven’t watched a panthers game in awhile so I’ll take your word for it. But it does seem that every team suddenly starts caring when it’s time for Toronto. Tampa game should have a huge impact on the standings.

Tampa has a pretty soft schedule to end the season other than the leafs games, but if Toronto wins the bulk of it's remaining games Tampa won't be able to catch the leafs.

Loved the scrum but incredibly annoyed by the ref who kept Bertuzzi in a bear hug when Sabre player after Sabre player came at him, leaving him unable to protect himself properly.

What’s our magic number to officially clinch a playoff spot

Based on the way it stands today....

If Leafs had 97 points they would clinch. The max Philly/Wings (potentially WC teams are 96 points if they win out.

Basically Leafs just need 4 more points to clinch as it stands now or if Philly/Wings lose then the equation changes. Florida and Boston both clinched tonight (99 points each with Panthers a game in hand and we play them Monday )

And Keefe needs to have the balls to make it happen. If we want to win, Marner and Matthews need to drive their own line.

What if the Leafs go on a long playoff run and Samsonov keeps playings great and is a huge part of that playoff run? Do you still let him go after a stellar postseason? Seems like that would be a pretty hard thing to do to let him go after a really good playoff run or even a cup win.

Last thing Samsonov needs is a big contract that comes up every time he has a bad game. Seems like someone that needs short show me contracts for his own sake.

I love matthews without marner as he drives the line way more. He defers way too much to marner when they are together and then marner just always tries to set him up.

I have no idea what to do for playoff lines though….

Ngl I for some reason thought he was speaking about home. Sens have already called out the fans, I think sabres did earlier in the season, doubling down would’ve been intense.

Agreed. I think Matthews, Marner and Nylander each need to drive their own lines. That will be tough to match up against.
