Although Domi still has more points than Kerfoot. They both suck.

Yeah they’re the poster boys of the misguided bottom 6 construction of the last decade. I’m more just blown away by how much Domi’s reputation is 95% based on his last name and 2 fights a year, it’s crazy to think a “gritty” forward can play regular minutes and wind up with a third of Kerfoot’s hit totals. Greb has more hits than Domi and he played 7 games.

Domi can be a bit of a hot head but is more performative tough. This year I think he’s got the contract and clearly taken the foot off the gas, let standards slip.

If you think Kerfoot is three to one 'grittier' than Domi, than you don't know very much about the subject.

3 times 0 is still 0 don’t worry
That didn't make any sense. I'm just saying if you want to beat up on Domi for a bit talking about grit is just silly.

I dont care that much one way or another, but he was great in the playoffs last year and if he's great in the playoffs again this year than your drivel is for the birds.

Was it six unanswered after that?

A guy like Reavo who boosts the wifi types careers regularly per hockey code puts a tap out and wifi points the scoreboard and waves him off.

Bad juju.

Had them beat in the alley type of thing at that point.

7 unanswered, we were down 3-0 when it happened. I don't mind Arber not taking the fight, literally only would benefit the Leafs. He looked like an idiot though pointing at the scoreboard and making a big show of waving him off. Looks good on him that they got smoked afterwards.

Wonder what that inbred Newfie Hockey Junkie is gonna whine about on his Youtube channel now that the Leafs put the Scabs back in their hole.

He’s a perimeter playmaker that prefers to play pond hockey, he doesn’t hit or block shots, he doesn’t win board battles, he doesn’t take the puck to the net. Sorry I just really couldn’t care less about his 2 fights a year, he’s not a gritty forward he’s a pond hockey playmaker that’s never heard of the D zone.

I don’t mind him, he makes some really nice plays offensively, I’m just not going to pretend a forward with 12 hits on the year (career high of just over 1 hit every 2 games) is a relevant physical force.

The high amount of hits is a very misleading stat. Players that rank high in hits is cause they're often chasing the puck. Quite frankly, if you're among the leaders of hits, it just means you're more likely playing in your own zone for majority of your shift

Take a look at the top 5 leaders for this season.
As of now, the teams that these players are on are all out of a playoff spot

Fair enough and I get where your coming from.

My perspective is that it's Reavo tapping you so you take the fight. We couldn't have been more embarrassing up to that point so just go for the kill over your age old rival at the homestand, cause folks like Reavo have been paying back to young bucks like wifi since forever. He writes the code at this point and does so with poise - it shouldn't be a tough decision, just pay your respects. And then certainly not do the exact opposite.

And for whats it's worth, we saw the results. So in retrospect, Arber probably takes a different route and goes for it, as he should have.

I dont think he was ever advertised as a physical forward, he's a skill playmaker that has been coming up short. He has useful traits and a bunch of limitations. He's making three milly and something and he was great last playoffs. I'm not worried but if you are thats fair, I think you know more than I do about the technicals.

He's gritty with the best of them though, that much is forsure.

If they played against a real hockey team, that first period would have backfired badly.

Great effort in the second and the third, too many goddamn penalties.

Montreal is a better team than they used to be. I'm glad because all those high draft picks were getting annoying.

Great effort tonight. I’ll even give credit to Reaves finally playing his role. Played physical and even went after a heavyweight fight

Slept in, had to watch the replay. Down 2-0 and I fast forward and it's 3-0, with Woll playing solid net. The only guy showing gumption. FF again, and now down by 1 at the end of the 2nd. And then Willy, hooo baby, hooo golly, hooo baby, by gum. 'No big deal'. When he wants to, what a playa! The rest was gravy. To be sure, though, that ugly 'start of the game' hockey has got to stop, and without Woll in net, it could easily have been a walk in the park for the Habs.

Yeah I think in hindsight Arber wishes he took the fight. Let’s be honest Reaves is an old dog and hasn’t fought all year. Arber is an up and comer and has had plenty of practice this season. If he takes that fight and decidedly wins that fires up his bench and the crowd and likely demoralizes the Leafs. Might’ve been the end of the night. Instead he acted like a punk.
