Sometimes players just own certain teams, and Nylander seems to really bring it against MTL.

It's funny, too, because some Habs fan on TSN.ca's comment section used to constantly run him down ten years ago. TSN shut down the comment section of its site years ago. I wonder what he would say now... haha.

Watching the Habs fan on their board going from "we're going to win the cup" to "trade everybody" made my night. Never change Scab fans.

P.S. Your team is hot trash and you'll be a cellar dweller for the considerable future. Oh ya I almost forgot... Matthews > Laine every day of the week.

The most satisfying win of the season. The boys showed some heart tonight when the chips were down.

Nothing better than a Leaf win in Montreal on a Saturday night.

Well that was fun to watch. Even after one I was pissed but had the feeling the boys had an extra gear.

Woll, what can you say... tough first for the team but he battles. Has a Grant Fuhr vibe... no matter what you give up you dig in for the next barrage. Impressive for a young guy, who was hung out to dry a bit in the first but battled hard. Nice win boys!

They beat Montreal a bunch of times last season, too. Did that impact what happened in May?

Look, I'm the bozo who said the Leafs would win when it was 3-0, and even I don't think this game means anything. It keeps them well ahead of Florida. That's important, but that's all this game means.

To highlight the point, the Leafs scored 6 goals against Buffalo in a game in December. Did that wake the offense up? The reality is that the offense is fine.
Again. It's a hated rival. It doesn't matter when the game is played. It will not change anything come May but if you understand the importance of rivalry games you would know.

Michigan won the National Championship last year. Had a shit season but beat Ohio State. Fans were happy.

Packers/Bears

Some games transcend others.

Beating the Habs is always special

2 straight comeback wins for our Leafs!

Woll and our elite forwards Made the difference. They played like gamebreakers and won the game because of their much more superior talent, skill and finishing. Habs had a lot of scoring chances and they tested woll often, but woll like a wall, didn’t break. Habs lack pure scorers who can finish passing plays and bury scoring opportunities. Montembeault is not the man for them in goal, should have put promising rookie Jakub Dobes in net instead. He beat great teams recently and has great statistics.

Props to Tanev, McMann and OEL
