  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
So you suggest alternating them each game? That’s not what I’m suggesting. I suggest 3 games Stolarz to 1 for Woll unless there’s a back to back.
Yes, I'd keep rolling them straight for now, unless it becomes obvious by some combination of standings and/or play quality that you can't. See who earns the playoffs.

Reining in the Caps a bit all of sudden too. Knock on wood.

Nylander is the definition of a player that you want more from. All the talent in the world, but not enough hustle and net drive. Sometimes he turns it on, but it’s only been in spurts this year. Last year’s play was much more consistent. This year’s version is scoring a bit more, but I worry how this play translates come playoff time. He’s insanely talented but lazy is lazy, and lazy doesn’t get it done come playoffs. I’m not expecting anything crazy here, just more of last years net drive.

And Holmberg has been making good plays out there. Having better linemates helps, but it’s Holmberg that is turning things around. He’s driving the net, making plays, getting calls for us… chalking it all up to Nylander is unfair.
You think it’s holmberg turning it around the guy got going on empty netters that the guy racing to contest the roccet unselfishly gave him

Yup, guaranteed overtime game. It’s the way of the leafs lol. Would be an easy bet for people that bet.
Gotta think if jones is in the line up Florida gets em

What’s our stacced top line then?
Since the 4N break the Matthews line has combined for 5 goals and 8 assists at ES (3G 6A 5on5) and a +9: the Tavares line has combined for 8 goals and 8 assists (5G 5A 5on5) and a +15.

What's our stacked top line then?

Games 3 stars
1st William Nylander
2nd Rakell
3rd knies
The first star is almost always the guy who scores in OT, regardless of what he did the rest of the game - pretty meaningless. The only guy with 2 goals gets second - ditto. I could give Knies 1st for that goal alone.

Having said that, Knies, Benoit, and Nylander for the Leafs and Crosby, Rakell, and Rust for the Pens were the best of two bad lots.

I don't know man. $11.5 for a defensively irresponsible winger is a problem.
That first Pens goal was brutal. Lizotte is behind our net with the puck and Nylander is outside the blueline.
This sort of thing happens a lot with him.
Brutal yes. Rielly has control of the puck along the boards and there are three Leafs and two Pens in the area. Nylander breaks just as Rielly hits someone (JT?) with the pass, causing the turnover.

Matthews, Marner, JT, and others do it frequently as well. It's more noticeable with Nylander as he's a faster skater, but it seems to be an approved strategy.

I guess but the 3 stars were. Picked by the Pittsburgh media as they were the home team. Visiting players often get shafted no matter what they do.

Which would make Willy being 1st star even more impressive, except for the OT=1st knee-jerk response.

I sometimes wonder if the person who picked the three stars actually watched the game. Not that I'm saying today's picks were bad.
