Officiating was atrocious and the Jets PP has been lethal thus far, but the fact that we gave up 4 goals and none of them were 5-on-5 is not a great endorsement of where our special teams are at. The 3rd also wasn't a great example of shutdown hockey either: A lot of time spent in our zone, even if we did keep them to the outside.
On a more positive note, the 1st period was fantastic, JT and Patches had their best game of the year, and obviously we bent and didn't break. Got the two points, got to break Winnipeg's win streak in their home rink, and Leafs fans made themselves heard and got to litter said rink with hats after JT's hat trick. All in all, a good if imperfect night.
