One of the more entertaining games this year.

Looked to me like Swayman lost rather than the Leafs won. Toronto was taking all kinds of bad perimeter shots. This could have easily been a very lopsided game in Boston's favour.

Another smelly goal to start the game.

The difference between Pastrnak and Marner? Pastrnak can actually score on a breakaway. There was a ton of them in this game too.

Neither team bothered to play defense.

In the end it came down to goaltending. Toronto got the netminding they needed to win. Boston had an $8M meltdown let in five goals.

It was awesome seeing the Bruins blow that lead.

That's the Rielly we know when he's playing at his best
Marner looks like a man possessed, he's an absolute beast
Robertson is a talented kid, when it starts rolling for him he's bloody dangerous
Holmberg, I'll be buggered if I know what's happened to him over the break but I'm liking it
Strong effort from Stolarz, he gave us a chance when we didn't deserve it

Man I hope Nylander and Tanev are OK, we need those boys
Agree with everything you said nice goals by Mitchy today and I liked seeing Robertson mix it up in the scrums I’m really thinking it makes more sense for domi to be off that line out of the three of them move Robertson on his strong side move bobby up and get him a 3c

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is this Lohrei guy just straight-up skating into and knocking down our goalie before the Marner OT winner with no call. Stolarz even lost his stick. Classic Leafs vs. Bruins moment.
He walked us too in between

That's my guess, as well. Probably out a few weeks. It's ideal timing. He isn't needed for the regular season, and he gets rest for the long playoff run.
Hopefully he and Nylander are not out too long, but the rest might be the best thing long term.

Did Bérubé not speak to the media after the game? Surprised there has been no mention of Nylander, unless I missed it.

Well, after 2 periods of disgusting hockey, our Leafs were able to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat.

Unfortunately, they gifted the Bruins a point. This is the kind of game, and opponent, that our Leafs need to be chalking up REGULATION wins against.

I really hope that Tanev and Nylander are not seriously hurt and out long term.

I was wondering why he didn't touch the ice in OT.

BTW, Marner really left Matthews hanging there after the winner that Matthews set him up for. Kind of ironic (coincidental? I can never get it straight) after McDavid did the exact thing to Marner after the 4 Nations winner.

Nothing to either of it, just caught up in the moment.

Why didn't Johnny shoot it as soon as it hit his stick? No way Swayman is expecting that.
Because goalies don't care how the puck is moved from one player to the next. They don't follow sticks, they track the puck.

Had to, Willie was gone, but his contributions in hits and goals have fallen.
I don't think he's recovered from whatever has been hailing him for months.

Agreed but in both cases, the guy that got ignored made the play happen. Mitch even had his glove up waddling it for McDavid to high five him McD just ignored him and skated past. You gotta thank the guy that set you up no matter how hyped you are, sorry.

It's hard to criticize a come from behind overtime win so I won't. Only because there were enough high level plays and we did get that sweet sweet deuce in Boston.

Atta be Morgan 500 pts as a Leaf is a huge achievement, I really hope he can find another 250 or so in his career and sit 2nd behind Borje.

Stolarz even though 4 got by him generally had a solid game and with a couple of ten bell saves helped secure the victory.

Don't know what they've been feeding Holmgoat but keep doing it and give some more to Robbie. Both those boys have suddenly looked like the real deal, playing physical, working the defensive game to their advantage and it paying off for them.

Bobby too much McMann has reached another level. He's not quite dominating the opposition but he sure is outskating, out hitting and outscoring the guys he plays against.

Put it in the rear view and on to the next!

At those moments the adrenaline must be through the roof, players get a pass from me there.
Ignoring to me means they made a choice, I don't think that's what happened.
