I think people mean that Knies is the only one that can finish on that line now. Matthews has had so many good scoring chances that he always used to score no matter what and now he isn't. Team would be dangerous if Matthews could snipe like he used to.

They played great defensively, generated a ton of chances and gave up almost none.
The stats I posted were in all situations tonight, including PP, PK, and 5v6.

Barkov, the perennial Selke finalist, had his lunch stolen from him by Matthews.
He needs to play exactly like this every game this series.
Marner outplayed his direct competition.
Nylander converted on his chances.
