I hope so.. but in physical series like these Jarnkrok hasn’t been that effective with his shiftiness and playmaking.

That might drag it down
 
The way McMann is playing it's getting close to "sub him with Reaves" territory...

I hope Woll be better prepared next game, Leafs won despite his play not because of it. If Stolarz is in net the Panthers probably don't score more than 2.

We don’t have a natural responder and it sucks to put someone in a position to stick their neck out for a show fight. Honestly the best approach is to just hit Bennett hard, often and attrition him into an early offseason. That’s a clean Benoit hit. On repeat. It’s Pacioretty running him over. It’s Domi getting his licks in. That’s McCabe tagging him open ice. It’s Woll laying a little lumber blocker one two on him. And Knies. Get your revenge son. Team effort batter the man.

Yep but Domi seems most likely to cross the line, and will have the biggest ref microscope on him for that reason. Already saw it early in game 1. Any borderline play will appear to be retaliatory and will be a review.

That's a crazy amount of ice time. He set up the GWG and blocked a shot late in the game. His defense was great most of the game; my only real complaint was that he seemed to tentative on the PP.

Idk 2 deflections and a rocket shot, its hard to blame Woll coming off the bench unprepared to stop those. But he definitely should be more prepared next game..We need him to play like he did against the Bruins last season where he was hard to beat.

Unfortunately its a choice between McMann, Kampf or Robertson. Really wish they had one more legit option.

I'm the opposite. I have a feeling McMann is about to break through. You could see it at points during this game. He is a big body who should thrive in this kind of series

Woll had a really rough game. Two of those goals were terrible positioning. With that being said, he has shown flashes of being a really good goaltender and I believe he can step up

Yeah, now that I said that watch McMann break out the next game... :laugh:

Hopefully we get good Woll next game. I had high hopes for him but I'm afraid it can go either way with Woll.

It would almost be better for an innocent like Benoit to do the dirty. No disciplinary garbage. But honestly, I think the best course is to team effort destroy Bennett. Within the rules of the game. Relentlessly.

McMann was good in Game 6 vs Ottawa but he didn’t really look like he belonged tonight.

Matthews and Marner still trying to excerpt control over the game, waiting around for a perfect situation that never comes. They need to embrace the chaos already. Like has Matthews had one aggressive rush this entire playoffs? Has he even tried?

Those 2 aren't gonna do anything so don't focus on them .. they can play good D .. Willy has da ability to take over games due to his speed plus skill
 
One encouraging stat was in 2023 Woll came in for sammy and allowed 3 goals on 21 shots, similar to tonight and then followed up with a 1 goal on 25 shot performance the following game. He followed that up, losing OT of course, with a 40 save on 43 shot performance. So hopefully he can play like we've seen him in past playoff performances. Coming in relief is definitely not easy.
