The Leafs having 7 goals in 7 games from their defensemen is insane given how offensively anemic they were in the regular season. Great showing from the backend in all aspects.

I once again credit Treliving again for this incredible D he's built. I cannot believe we've went all these years without a proper D.

I'd cut some slack to Woll. Hasn't played in awhile and comes in cold into a pressure cooker where the Leafs lost some momentum for a bit. He'll

be fine.

And of course no one on the panel is talking about what happened to Stolarz. Just absolute lunacy.

Woll has a good early playoff track record.. coming in mid game after not playing in 2.5 weeks is tough.

He was shaky but I think he can easily be bette prepped next game.

It’s why I wanted to see him in the Ottawa series in game 5 honestly. But they got the win. Now they have woken up Florida and it will be a real battle the rest of the way.

Nice to see the chances are there though. Matthews needs to convert to put the game away.

Woll was crucial for us in Boston in Games 5 and 6. He will have to ramp up the mental preparation and be in top form.

Marner's little chip play to Knies was key though. Kind of the way he found a way in the 4 Nations to feed Bennett for a goal. Not enough, but just enough for tonight.

It's like the Montreal series; I think Marner's numbers there would have looked better if Matthews hadn't quit 3 games in and if Hyman had any hands at all. Having Knies is a big difference, but I'd still like to see if Nylander can get Matthews going...

Huge loss if Stolarz is out long no doubt... but Woll actually was signed as the number one ... money wise sure seems it.

Who knows what happens with Stolarz. He could be okay. Either way they have to find a way.

The PP needs to wake up. Won't win many games going 0/5 or whatever it was.

Couldn't care less about Florida making it close. I've watched the Leafs enough times wake up late and push for a comeback only to fall short. Add to that the intentional intent to injure on Stolarz and Woll coming in cold, it doesn't mean much.

They answered back when they needed to with the 3-1 and 5-3 goals. If Matthews could hit the net that game likely isn't even close.

Hildeby is your potential future. Murray did well but Hildeby is better now and moving forward.

We completely folded in the 3rd. But tough to come in and play mid game for Woll. Hopefully Stolly is ok. Mathew’s can’t miss that empty net. But we won. Big to get the first one.

You’d never know the Leafs led this entire game from 33 seconds in all the way to the end reading through the GDT tonight.

A few things to clean up but great win by the Leafs.
This board however can do a lot better.

Hopefully Stolarz is gonna be ok for game 2

People are always over the top emotional when it's a playoff game. I wouldn't take anything said to seriously in the GDT.
