I predictably fell asleep for the 2nd period which means I saw the whole game. And what a game!

Me and my Bobby McMann!

I'm sure the "regular season doesn't matter" crowd missed the game because, well the regular season doesn't. But as for me, i really really enjoyed that game. High tension, a motivated mcdavid, some dangerous hits, blood, outrage because no penslty on mcdavid onbthe tying goal, oilet fans meltdown. I loved that result every bit ss much as a playoff win. I fully enjoy Leaf wins anytime of the year.

We're playing such a great brand of hockey at the moment. Really really solid defensively. And much more North/South and on the forecheck.

If you are looking for a team that'll beat the Hurricanes 8-7, this isn't the team for you.

But I will say, this team is hard to put away. They keep playing their game and remain solid and structured. They'll have some crappy games because it isn't easy doing it game after game.

I actually don't think you'll want to play us in a 7 game series, once we add a couple more forwards.

Exciting times ahead.

Marner owned McDraisdavid and the Oils in the OT. That’s Mitch at his best, beast defensive play and clutch goal. Should have won in Regulation but McDavid gets carte blanche as always.

Good win by the good guys

Seems to me MM is way too likely to try and pass that puck if it was him and AM coming down on the 2 on 1. Great of MM to shoot there because maybe in the future, he can put some doubt in the opposing teams mind in similar situations. In a weird way, AM being out for a bit might be a blessing for Mitch.

He saw an opening

Marner carrying the team on his back with 34 out of the line up.

He has been exceptional in every game without matthews (minus ottawa, no one was)

Conference final or bust?

That's some good D. (Moneypuck), with a nod to Stolarz for Stolarzing.

Sorry for the incomplete stat line. Didn't pick it all up.

Should have one in regulation time.
Mcdavid should have got a penalty for pushing JT's stick away if I saw it correctly ( which I believe we got a penalty a couple of games ago .

Anyways great game by the Leafs.
McMann great game
Marner incredible game
Mathews who
The cardiac kids came through again
It's funny now we are the team waiting for the opposition to screw up , Wilson then Bouchard, playoff hockey.
Stolarz solid again
