I thought Stolarz was a dime-a-dozen back up before this season. Just like Bobby McMann, I am super happy to eat crow. And Mitch Marner with an mature performance tonight. I love how animated Berube gets, reminds me of that big Irishman Quinn.

Marner is so underrated in the d zone.
He makes so many smart little passes for breakouts and relieving pressure.
Not noticed by a lot of fans.

All we needed was a shot, Skinner sucks ass, he is one of the worse starting goalies in the NHL.

I was chuckling because Sportsnet actually put up why the Oilers went as far as they did last year when Reaves took that 5 minute major. 30% PP efficiency in the playoffs and an average of 6 per game? Yeah, I'd bet we could have made a run with Sammy or Campbell if we got those kinds of chances.

Hard to say.

That five minute kill lifted the confidence. When you're on the bench, helpless, especially if you're not on the PK, when it's killed you go out and counter attack out of frustrating.

Their PP was abysmal though on the 5 on 3.

It’s nice having 2 reliable power forwards in the top 9. McMann and Knies are a breath of fresh air that are really making an impact.

Marner looks hungry this year. Looks better without Matthews, hopefully Berube takes note and tries to spread the wealth a bit.
