Terrible goaltender interference call. Bertuzzi should have gotten the goal there. But overall solid road game. No early Stanley Cup parade in Winnipeg I guess.
Appleton at the end making a fool of himself.
Benoit just continues to impress as well. A couple more "think again" hits, also showed some offence acumen a few times. If the puck goes into the boards, a Leaf leaves with it, almost every time. Room to grow, he may top out as an effective shutdown 4 D man.
Can't recall any team winning a cup without a number of big saves throughout the playoffs.Leafs shouldn't need big saves to win the cup.
I said the leafs would be in good shape for a playoff berth if they could get 8 points in the final 8 games before the ASG, they got 9, and will like be holding the last WC spot when the break happens.
PTS% is indeed the only sensible way to look at it IMO. I also look at regulation PTS% as I'm more interested in how well the team is playing hockey than how successful we've been at scoring gimmick points.I personally always look at it by point percentage. As far as I’m concerned we are 3rd in the Atlantic.

I hate Corrado even more than them both. He looks like he is going to vibrate right out of his seat when he is on a panel...too much energy and he yells instead of talking. She is to sports TV what Coliacovo is to sports radio, except worse.
I think he needs to be deployed strategically to be effective. Save him for the heavier grinding teams and sit him against the faster free flowing teams.Reminds me of Reaves first few games of the season where he sky rocketed to fan favorite.
Unrealistic to be a regular occurrence but hopefully he can find a middle ground moving forward instead of hitting rock bottom

As they say, it takes longer for defensemen.
Realistically, that's because of young, inexperienced defensemen can be exposed, while young inexperienced forwards can be sheltered, supported by 2 line-mates.
Benoit - 170 games
Liljegren - 178 games
Timmins - 94 games
Lagesson - 81 games
Lagesson will be 28 soon, but I've liked the few games where he's straddled the line from clean to dirty. I doubt he's in their plans, but neither should Giordano or Brodie be in their plans, although perhaps Brodie on a extremely friendly deal, playing lower in the line-up.
If Benoit continues to develop, this could be a home-run player.
I look at Hockey Reference for pretty much everything.Does the nhl website track regulation points percentage? Not sure I’ve ever seen it.
It's just weird that the people on the broadcast are so bad, would be interesting to know how it happened that such poor choices were made.I hate Corrado even more than them both. I think he perfectly demonstrates that when you don't have anything of substance to offer, talk loud in the hope it may help your credibility. How did Corrado get the gig in the first place?I hate Corrado even more than them both.
