Besides another step for the Division title, it’s important to stay ahead of Carolina in case the Leafs go on a run and meet then in the Conference Finals.

Big dub. Pretty thrilled with how they've played the final stretch here. The goalies in particular have been exceptional. If you look at past Cup winners, this level of goaltending is basically a requirement. They have a big opportunity in the playoffs.

Because even with this win we don’t clinch yet. Still need 1 more point because Tampa can get the tiebreaker.

No. The hunt for the division is still on. In past years we’ve rested the guys and the play like shit. I don’t think you rest anyone here. Just play them less minutes.

If Buffalo can somehow win tonight that would seal the division though, that game isn't over yet.

Jarnkrok hasn't been great so I could see him be the guy Patches replaces eventually. Depends if that new 3rd line can keep playing like they did today because they looked great.

Leafs have been solid for a bit now. They look a little underwhelming but are getting the job done. I wouldn't be surprised if they win out the season.

I'm going to channel my inner @Evilhomer and say the Leafs win their last two games as well.

Even still. I don’t want to see these guys rest, I know you run the risk of injury but these guys play better without the rest days. I’d like to see us just carry the momentum full into the playoffs. Just bench them in the 3rd period if you have to, I rather see that.

Yeah but the Leafs have to lose in regulation the last 2 games and Tampa has to win the next 2 (3 including todays game against Buffalo)
